CEN-CE scheme and training materials introduced to attendees/learners of Interklima - 12 April 2019 - Zagreb, Croatia

CEN-CE, ALDREN and EPB Center teams presented the “EU projects supporting EPBD implementation” plenary lecture on 12 April 2019 at the 25th International Conference Interklima (organised at Zagreb Fair by FSB Uni Zag and partners). Furthermore, a selection of CEN-CE training materials have been presented for the first time.

The main aim of this plenary lecture was to inform the attendees/learners of the 25th International Conference Interklima 2019 (organised at Zagreb Fair by FSB Uni Zag and partners) about CEN-CE, ALDREN and EPB Center activities related to the implementation of the EPBD while also presenting for the first time a selection of CEN-CE training materials.

Around 60 participants (building certification and energy experts and public authorities) participated in the plenary lecture. The shared knowledge was very much appreciated by the attendees/learners.

The presentations underlined how EPB standards contribute to quality and confidence in assessment tools and demonstrated how to assess technical solutions for the design of nZEB building with standards from the EN 15316-series, as these standards are the core standards of the CEN-CE project. Also the proposal for CEN-CE scheme EU-wide operation and the possibility to become a CEN EPB Standards Certified Expert was introduced.

Moreover, a selection of CEN-CE training materials were presented for the first time, covering the following standards:

• EN/ISO 52000-1 (Overarching Energy Performance of Buildings assessment);
• EN 15316-4-2 (Heat pump systems);
• EN 15378-3 (Measured energy performance).
